Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a professional to fill our part-time or full-time Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk accustomed to working in a busy, fast-paced environment. Applicants must be a team player and able to maintain strict confidentiality, be organized, accurate, and detail oriented.

Our Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk must possess the following knowledge and skill set:

  • Good listener and demonstrate ability to follow directions
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is second nature
  • Ability to problem solve difficult and complex accounting challenges
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal direction
  • Must be proficient with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite (specifically advanced Excel spreadsheet data manipulation), and demonstrate overall intermediate to advance computer skills
  • Must be able to read and decipher bank statements, merchant processing statements, and accounting reports and ledgers
  • A leader who recognizes deficiencies and opportunities to improve existing processes or controls for the company’s benefit.

Specific job duties will include but not limited to:

  • Data entry in company’s accounting system
  • General Ledger Accounting
  • Bank and Credit Card Reconciliation
  • Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, and Invoice Management
  • Payroll Processing
  • Month End Closure
  • Coordinate Asset Recording
  • Work with company CPA on asset management, quarterly, and annual tax preparation
  • Generate ad hoc reports as needed for management and special projects
  • Produce supporting documentation and reports as needed by banks and lenders
  • Support rest of the organization wherever needed regardless of duties
  • Education / Experience: Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance plus a minimum of 2 years practical working experience, or 5+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Identified candidates will be required to submit to pre-hire writing, reading comprehension, typing, data entry, office productivity, and math testing.
