Dispatcher

The Dispatcher is responsible for assigning drivers and setting the chauffeurs schedule of work, monitoring all reservations in livery software system, updating logs/documentation as required, answering telephones, and other duties as assigned by management.

Dispatchers must possess the following abilities:

  • Maintain drivers/chauffeurs daily schedule of assigned work with State and Federal regulations
  • Must be able to analyze multiple details to come to a decision/solution and prioritize assignments based on information available
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter/Minimal direction required
  • Comprehend detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to listen and retain information provided through multiple communication channels
  • Able to deal with client problems in a calm demeanor
  • Establish rapport with chauffeurs and effectively manage their schedules in conjunction with their pre-assigned work
  • Assist Fleet Manager with managing vehicle preparedness and availability
  • Work collaboratively with Customer Sales Representatives to meet all customer needs/requirements
  • Abide by company policies and procedures as it relates to, but not limited to, fleet, scheduling, vehicle maintenance, and reservations.
  • Investigate service incidents and provide recommended solution to satisfy customer
  • Must be detailed oriented and able to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to maintain composure during peak/stressful periods
  • Must have extensive knowledge of the Denver Metro area and/or demonstrate ability to accurately read a map and recommend multiple routes
  • Some flexibility in work schedule is required to help with coverage for vacations and peak periods

Technical Skills Required

  • Ability to communicate via email correspondence (e.g. Outlook, web-based email)
  • Experience with MS Office Suite – Word and Excel
  • General Windows/Mac user skills
  • Telephone skills – answer phone, transfer calls, voice mail
  • Extensive experience navigating the Internet as a resource

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or higher; continuing education preferred
  • Demonstrate prior customer service experience
  • Identified candidates may be required to submit to pre-hire writing, reading comprehension, typing, data entry, office productivity, and math testing.
